Dear Edubloggers,
As you may know by reading my fellow students blogs, you will know that we have been reading the autobiographic book “Black Boy”, based on the life of Richard Wright. It was extremely sad, yet moving, and in a way, poetic.
Summed up, we figured out that Richard Wright left out some parts in his biography, such as that his mother was a successful schoolteacher, or that a white family took him in. We first thought this was wrong, but then we realised that Richard Wright wanted his biography to be about a black boy.
We have started reading graphic novels in class. I read a book called Babymouse, queen of the world. As you might guess, it’s about a mouse, called Baby Mouse, who wants to be queen of the world (hense, hense). Then I read Nancy Drew. Really good!
I am also helping my friend Anastasia with her story Lettuce Garden. I am helping her with idea’s, and we are writing it under one name, Iwa Hyuuga (Japanese Name). I really enjoy writing Lettuce Garden, as I am now writing in a style I have never written before. We hope to get it published one day!
XxX
